You will experience the gorgeous and memorable landscape of Otago Peninsula with amazing string of rugged beaches, bays and wildlife. You will see the most breathtaking views and take you closer to nature and its wildlife.

You will stop at the world's steepest street, First Church, Dunedin Railway station - one of the most photographed buildings in New Zealand and will have some time to explore internationally significant and the oldest botanic garden.

  • Depart from the Octagon, outside Dunedin Visitor Centre (Port Chalmers for cruise ship passengers)

  • Visit the steepest street in the world

  • Enjoy views of the city from a local lookout point

  • Free time to explore Dunedin Botanic Garden

  • Stop at Otago University

  • Drive through George street - our main shopping area and the Octagon - the heart of the city

  • Stop at First Church of Otago

  • Stop at the Dunedin Railway Station-one of the most photographed buildings in New Zealand

  • Scenic drive onto Otago Peninsula via Highcliff Road

  • 1 hour wildlife boat cruise  around Taiaroa Head to view wildlife - A special encounter with our unique southern ocean animals. Northern Royal Albatross, fur seals, three species of shags and Royal Spoonbills all breed around Taiaroa Head. We often see sea lions, other species of albatross and a variety of petrels. We sometimes see Hector's Dolphins and Dusky Dolphins. Rarely we see Southern Right or Humpback whales.

  • Scenic drive back via Portobello Road along the harbour with a different scenery to enjoy.
