Originally from Lithuania, I grew up with a love of travel and discovering different cultures. Through my family’s work, I had the opportunity to live overseas and experience life in different parts of the world.

Dunedin has been home since 2010, when I settled here with my husband and our two sons. I have been part of the tourism industry ever since.

After several years working as a travel consultant, I realised I wanted a more personal connection with visitors and the places I was sharing. In 2017, this led me to establish Fantail Tours.

I love introducing visitors to Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula — sharing its history, wildlife, hidden gems and spectacular scenery. For me, the best tours are about more than sightseeing; they’re about sharing stories and creating memorable experiences.

When I’m not guiding, I enjoy hiking, exploring wildlife and spending time outdoors. During the quieter tourism months, I also discovered a new passion — beekeeping!

I look forward to welcoming you to Dunedin and showing you why this beautiful city is known as the “Edinburgh of the South”, or Ōtepoti in Māori.

I’ve been a tour guide since the mid-1980s, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than helping visitors understand the why, where and how behind New Zealand’s people, landscapes, wildlife and history.

I’m also a proud member of the Science Communicators Association of New Zealand and a Royal Society Science Communicator, bringing a passion for sharing knowledge in an engaging and accessible way.

Originally from Germany, I’ve been proud to call New Zealand home for the past 25 years. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding visitors in Dunedin and around the country, sharing my passion for this beautiful and diverse land.

I’m also a trained secondary school teacher and work locally, teaching Geography and languages, including French, German and English. This background has given me a real love for connecting with people and making learning interesting and enjoyable.

I particularly enjoy sharing my appreciation for New Zealand’s landscapes, people and wildlife with visitors to Ōtepoti. Every tour is an opportunity to uncover what makes this region so special and to share some of the stories and places I love.

When I’m not guiding, I’m passionate about the environment and enjoy spending time outdoors with my family — hiking, cycling and making music together.
