Otago Peninsula Scenery via Highcliff Road.

 

Scenic route via Hooper's Inlet - where low tide turns it into wading bird paradise. You are likely to see royal spoonbills, oyster catchers, pied stilts, spur winged plovers, king fishers, paradise shellducks, white faced herons, black swans, pukekos, etc.

 

While on Otago Peninsula there are options to include one of the wildlife tours:

• 1 hour wildlife cruise

To enjoy marine wildlife viewing from the boat.

• 1 hour guided tour of Albatross Centre

 

• 1.5 hour guided walk at Penguin Place - private yellow eyed penguin reserve ( moderate level of fitness required as there some uneven areas, up and down the hills on the sandy are to walk)
